When I innocently asked why the offer was different this year, reduced by the same or slightly higher price compared to last year, the afternoon receptionist tried to manipulate me into remembering that I wasn't there last year, that it wasn't like this last year - as if I were demented, which I certainly am not, because I am a highly functional person in a very intellectually demanding position. I was very offended. This is called gaslighting.

We were there just before and partly during the May Day holidays. Until a bunch of people arrived for May Day, among them a lot of older people. Because of the low prices, these people's culture is probably also lower. When we went to dinner then, just a few minutes after dinner started, we were shocked: the restaurant was so packed that there was no room to sit anywhere, the lines in front of the food buffet were 20 meters long. Those who got to the food piled it up (I'm talking about this: that there is no culture of eating), so that after 20 minutes the food ran out. My son ate a plate of soup and gnocchi without anything, and we ate some salad that was left. People kept coming and coming to the restaurant, but there was no more food, and no room either. They started frying fries and cooking macaroni with pesto and tomato sauce. The buffet, which was always full of very diverse and delicious food, was empty, people were fighting over leftovers.
When we wrote a complaint, the next day when we arrived from breakfast (where there was still a drama with food and space, but apparently most people hadn't gotten up that early yet) we were greeted with an apology from the management and a bottle of wine. We saw that they were still going around several rooms with bottles of wine all day, because according to my information there were a lot of complaints, because this was the worst food experience in my entire life, and we've traveled the whole world.
The next evening the food ran out after an hour, but when we complained, the friendly Indian chef then grilled some more steaks. What the others who weren't so loud ate, I don't know. Later, one of the leading people in Hvar tourism told me that a new team had just arrived at this hotel and was just getting used to it. But that they weren't prepared for such a large crowd and that there was no food... You really have to be a master for that.

Sauna availability is very limited, and reservations must be made in advance for a session lasting only 45 minutes. In a hotel of this caliber, this should be organized differently, with free access to the saunas.
It would also be good to clean up the area around the beautiful rocky beach from time to time.

This is a suggestion, not a scolding, I watched guests with dogs wait in front of the restaurant terrace to get a free table, because of course dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. A suggestion, as I have seen in other hotels. they could reserve a table on the terrace until the end of the holiday. friendly to dogs????

The food itself is excellent, but the coffee and juices from the vending machine are a bit lacking, as all the drinks are heavily diluted.

The rooms are very simple, the equipment is old, especially the yoga mats are bad. There is no air conditioning! I missed fruit and a croissant for breakfast. At dinner, the beer ran out immediately or was just foam! Liver almost every day! I would ban dogs from entering the dining room, there is enough space outside

There was no internet in the rooms, but they apparently tried to fix it. Even though the hotel only has two stars and we know what to expect, they will still have to slowly invest in renovating the rooms. The food was delicious, but what vegetables there were were always from the frozen program, never fresh, except for lettuce and tomatoes. The endless amounts of pudding every day could have been replaced with something else. There was no ice cream once in the whole week. We had light inclusive - that was poorer. This means that they gave some cheap cookies and pudding with coffee and juice, they could have shown a little more creativity, even if they were saving money. There was enough food, you don't have to be the first to arrive, they constantly brought fresh food, they deserve praise for that.
