We chose renovated apartment which was more expensive than non renovated. We were looking forward to the new apartment as advertised on web site. But reality was significantly different. In our case the apartment was renovated probably 10 years ago. We were very negatively surprised.

The apartment was not the cleanest upon arrival - dust on the floor and under the furniture. The covers on the extra beds were dirty.
The kitchen does not have any cooking utensils (board, grater, colander, kettle, etc.) except for the minimum basic equipment. We had to buy things ourselves because they could not be obtained even on request. The trash cans are absolutely too small (the size of bathroom trash cans). The supply of towels during the high season is problematic because they are not changed twice a week as expected.
There are a lot of stumps on the beach - more regular cleaning is needed. There are also a lot of abandoned buildings/sheds on the coast that are falling apart.
The pools for the appartment are only suitable for small children, they are small in size, and there is no access for the elderly.

There is a large litter (at least 20) of cats in the settlement, which are already quite domesticated and you can make sure to close the doors/windows, because otherwise it quickly happens that the cat is in the apartment.

Unfriendly staff at reception. Apartment prices far too high. Food and drinks far too expensive. Sun loungers are reserved the night before and nobody does anything about it.
A holiday there is not recommended.

WiFi is almost nonexistent.

The beach is too busy with sunbeds for rent.

In the options offered on the referral form, under guest wishes, you express a desire for a specific or more of these desired apartments, it is impossible to get the desired apartment, the neighbors' yes, not the one you are asking for, even though it is, whether they are free, it does not work, without logic, the feeling that someone is deliberately ignoring you, but this was not the first time I have been here.
Dogs, big and small, bark, urinate on the beach, especially in the morning when there are no tourists, when they need to go to the bathroom, they urinate in front of apartments, on cars, walk around on leashes and make piles.

Poor internet performance (wifi)

Arrived on 03.07.2020 and saw tires on the shore, when I left on 13.07.2020 the tires were still there. The shore could also be cleaned up a bit.

Every year, nothing has changed in the natural beauty around the Medena apartments, except for a few trees on the beach that have grown. It would be necessary to make walking paths in the area, to emphasize that tourists expect something more. Install trash cans and walking paths towards another settlement, install appropriate waste baskets for dog feces. .. the owners are on vacation and so forget what needs to be arranged when their dog is ...... the guests also miss some pleasant music on the terrace in the evenings. ..etc

Small portions at dinner (we ate our fill because we were eaten by the kids, but if you are a person who eats a lot you might also be hungry - e.g. one piece of meat). Wifi could work better. But the price is always quite high compared to the whole thing you get. If I compare the same service in Slovenia. Mandatory stay in a renovated app.

The kitchen lacked basic kitchen equipment, a knife, pots, a salad bowl, a coffee pot. There was no evening program. The live music that was promised every evening at Hotel Medena before check-in only happened three times in 14 days.

The size of the apartment is adequate, but the apartment itself has shortcomings in the equipment: 1. the refrigerator door is burned, 2. there are definitely too few dishes and kitchen utensils in the kitchen (no wooden spoons and ladles, only two cooking pots, no bowls...), 3. the television is too small and has too weak a signal to watch programs, 4. the tiles in the bathroom were broken, 5. the light fixtures did not work (the bulbs burned out)
