| Unfortunately, we had to cut our holiday at this campsite short today. What Gogo for Camper presented here does not match our experience. Regarding the campsite... Our pitch was littered with trash when we arrived: old, dirty clothes, what felt like 100 beer coasters, and cigarette butts everywhere. Our Dutch neighbors treated us with indifference when we greeted them politely upon arrival. Okay, we've experienced it differently, but we can handle it. The showers and toilets right next to the pool were often absolutely disgusting. The men's showers reeked of urine. We practically fled the family showers because the stench was unbearable, and we're not usually sensitive to smells. But that was largely due to the other campers. We didn't see much staff cleaning, despite what we'd been told. Our kids loved the pool. It was clean, and you could always find a spot. I would have liked to see more lifeguards around, though; they seemed bored and tired. In the evenings, the area around the pool was cleaned very thoroughly. What was okay was the pizza by the pool, and at a very fair price. Sometimes, or rather very often, I had the feeling that over 85% of the campground was occupied by Dutch people. Not a big deal in itself. But the younger ones, in particular, didn't behave like campers at all. If they wanted to party 24/7, then they should fly to Mallorca... Walking on the beach in the evening was more like running the gauntlet. A narrow promenade and lots of bicycles and e-scooters. Not really enjoyable. We've been camping in Croatia twice before, so I thought I'd take the liberty of writing a comment here. We went to a different campsite in Croatia today, and I can only say it's worlds apart. I definitely can't recommend this campsite. I know there are many other opinions, but that's our experience. Despite everything, I wish you all a wonderful holiday and a safe trip home. |
